Welcome to the Kansas City, Missouri School District Grant Department!

The Grant Department secures additional funds, services and equipment for The Kansas City, Missouri School District that cannot be raised through traditional public tax collection. Therefore, we seek grants and charitable gifts from a variety of sources including the Federal Government and the state of Missouri, individuals, trusts, corporations and foundations. Our mission is to ensure that the District provides a stimulating educational environment for our students and teachers.

We are located on the Fifth Floor of The Department of Education Building at 1211 McGee. Our staff consists of Connie Gray, Director of Grants and Special Projects, and two Grant Liaison Technicians, Julie Assel and Richard Freiburghouse.

If you are a District teacher or administrator please review this website for helpful information that will improve your knowledge of the grant writing process, funding sources, District policy in regard to grant proposal submission and so forth.

The Grant Department is here to assist you in any way possible so as to fulfill your special funding needs. We are committed to your success as together we can continue the proud tradition of educational excellence in The Kansas City, Missouri School District.
